Below are a few thoughts from some of Martin's fans...

Charles Stone

Elvis Presley’s Former Tour Manager

After awarding Martin Elvis with the 'No.1 ELVIS GOSPEL SINGER IN EUROPE 2004/5' :

"I did indeed have the privilege of seeing Martin perform in Porthcawl, United Kingdom last year. This being my first Elvis festival outside the USA I did not know what to expect but after seeing all the participants from all over the world perform I was quite amazed. Martin above all was incredible; he has the audience in his hands from the moment he steps on stage. The natural connection with the audience is a God given talent and not many have it. Elvis Presley had it and so does Martin. The excitement he generated was the one of a kind excitement only a handful of entertainers can do.

I am very proud to call him my friend and I admire the way he keeps Elvis' music and legend alive. I only wish I could see him more than once a year. Malta is lucky to have such a gifted entertainer all year round."

Sandi Pichon

Former Close Friend of Elvis

"I first met Martin when I attended the Elvies event in Porthcawl Wales, 2004. At first I mistook his shyness for arrogance...I know you are thinking, Martin shy?  But until he gets to know you, he is shy, but very sweet. We met at the hotel before the competition so I had not yet witnessed his talent.  Once he stepped onstage, all that shyness disappeared and out of that mouth came a wonderful sound. Martin is very talented and that year he swept the Gospel division, winning hands down.  Through the years his talent has been more finely honed and he is quite the professional tribute artist. This is a talented young man who gives his all and will never fail to entertain. It has been my distinct pleasure to become Martin and Carmen's friend over the years and while miles of ocean separate us, our hearts are united in friendship."

Steve Maitland-Thomas

Festival manager, organizer and publicist
Porthcawl Elvis Festival May 2004 - October 2007

"I first met Martin and his lovely wife Carmen when he was invited to perform at the inaugural Porthcawl Elvis Festival in October 2004. As the event increased in popularity, so did Martin, as he is both an extremely talented performer and one of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure to meet. He is a credit to the island of Malta and I promise to surprise him there one day.

Martin's show is electrifying and he dominates the stage with his powerful voice and affable personality. It has been a pleasure knowing Martin and I, together with his many British fans, look forward to seeing him do what he does so well over here in the future."

Colin C Garner

CC Promotions UK and Malta

"Martin’s singing career began quite by chance on Millennium Day, at 01-35 Martin sang two songs Hound Dog and Teddy Bear when he was working as a hotel security guard. The following day a tourist approached him, advising him to take up singing professionally. Martin then discovered that he could sing and that audiences were happy to listen to him and watch his shows. His versatility and talent shines thorough and he hasn’t looked back since. Martin also starred as the Pharaoh in the staged production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat."

Well that was then and now nine years on Martin is going from strength to strength. I knew the day I first heard Martin sing that he had talent. Over the past nine years Martin has appeared both in the UK and of course Malta. It was no surprise that awards followed and so did the recognition from his fellow professionals. If you are reading this website for the first time, then read on, if you are ever in Malta please go and watch his act; you will be pleasantly surprised. Martin does not only pay tribute to ‘The King Elvis Presley’, but he is an all round entertainer.

Finally I not only watched Martin career rise but I watched his family grow up, and how can I forget the woman behind the man. Carmen is an inaugural part of the Martin Elvis story. Today I am proud to promote Martin along with Carmen and I value them as dear friends."

Peter Phillips

Porthcawl Elvis Festival Promoter

"Martin Elvis, from Malta has been announced as the host of the prestigious Gospel Show, a highlight of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival, the largest event of its kind in europe. Martin was a previous winner of the Best Gospel Elvis Award at the Elvies in 2004.

Peter Phillips says: We are delighted to have Martin host this show. He has been a regular at the Festival and built up a large fan base in Wales and the UK. The Gospel Show is one of the most popular shows during the event and I'm sure Martin will add his own unique style to the array of talent that will be performing.
